Dr. G. Rajesh Kumar joined MAA Research Foundation as a Senior Scientist, Head of Research in the year 2020. He obtained his master's degree in Microbiology from Osmania University in 2007 and was awarded a Ph.D. in Genetics from Osmania University in 2015. He was bestowed with various notable Indian research fellowships (UGC-RFSMS, ICMR-SRF, ICMR-RA, DST-SRB-N-PDF) during his research career (2009-2017). He also has to his name, the prestigious Marie Curie fellowship to pursue postdoc at Institut de Recerca Biomedica de Lleida (IRBLleida), Spain (2017-2019). His area of research is mainly Human Genetics of non-communicable disease (NCD) (Coronary artery disease, Chronic kidney disease, Otosclerosis, and Head & Neck Cancers). Dr. Rajesh has published 26 papers in reputed national and international journals. Rani Durga Neeharika joined MAA Research Foundation (MRF) as Project Assistant, under the guidance of Dr.Rajesh G.Kumar, Senior Scientist, Head of Research for the project entitled "Genetic & Epigenetic Aspects of Otosclerosis” funded by MRF in the year 2020. She obtained her master's degree in Biotechnology from Government City College (A), Hyderabad in 2020 & her bachelor's degree in B.Sc from Osmania University, Hyderabad in 2018. She was awarded Summer Research Fellowship(SRFP-2019) by the 3 prestigious institutions i.e., IASc(Bangalore),INSA(New Delhi), NASc(Prayagraj) to work under Prof.Partha P.Majumder, NIBMG, West Bengal in 2019. She achieved Best Poster presentation for the poster titled “Super Nano-fertilizer" in a conference organized by Anwar Uloom College (A) in 2020. She was inducted as a member of Young Academy of India (CUB, Punjab) for her best participation in VISL-YSL workshop in 2020. During her graduation she served as editor for Life Sciences section of the college magazine. During her schooling she was the student of the decade (2000-2010) & school topper in her SSC boards.
BARIGELA SRIMANTH KUMAR joined MAA Research foundation (MRF) as a Project Assistant under the guidance of Dr. Rajesh G. Kumar, Senior Scientist, Head of research, for the project entitled "Role of Inflammasomes in CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE" funded by MRF in the year 2020. He obtained his Master's degree in Genetics (2018-2020), and Bachelor's Degree in BSc (2015-2018), from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He completed a project under the guidance of Dr. H. Surekha Rani, Assistant Professor, Chairperson BOS Genetics, Department of Genetics & Biotechnology, Osmania University. He acted as a tutor in the Workshop on Modern Techniques of Life sciences and Chemical sciences in April 2019 conducted by Departments of Genetics, Microbiology, Chemistry, MNR Degree & PG college, Hyderabad.
KADARLA SHIVANI joined MAA research foundation (MRF) as a project assistant under the guidance of DR. Rajesh G. Kumar, Senior Scientist, Head of Research, for the project entitled "MOLECULAR ASPECTS OF LARYNGEAL CANCER", funded by MRF in the year 2020. She was post graduated (MSc) with distinction in Biochemistry from Osmania university (OU), Hyderabad in 2020 and completed a project under the guidance of Prof. Surya Satyanarayana Singh, Head of the Department, OU. Graduated in distinction with gold medal in bachelor's degree (BSc), Palamur University in 2018 and Received first prize in GENESIS-2018 (presentation on pre-natal diagnosis, cervical cancer). Participated in various workshops and conferences conducted by OU and Hyderabad central University (HCU).
